What you find on my homepage:My homepage is at the same time also the official website of the Information Theory Lab. If you are interested in our lab, have a look! You can also find all lectures that are currently offered or have been offered by me. Moreover, I host the official website of the EECS Center for Circuit Theory, Communications and Signal Processing (CTCSP). CTCSP is a research center at NCTU with the chief goal to contribute to the international recognition of the academic programs and faculty at NCTU in Circuit Theory, Communications and Signal Processing. To learn more about my research and work, I recommend to check out my publications-list and my current research projects at the Information Theory Lab. My main interest is focused on communication channels of all kinds, optical, electromagnetic, chemical, and both wireless and wired. On the software and manuals page you will find How-To's (e.g., an introduction to GnuPG, or some instructions of how to correctly typeset mathematical equations in LaTeX) and several small pieces of software (e.g., a small program called mygpg that uses gpg to securely store your passwords without ever writing them in unprotected form onto your harddrive). Have you ever heard of factor graphs? This tool is a combination and generalization of well known tools like Viterbi algorithm, turbo-decoding and forward-backward algorithm and more. Quite some time ago, I wrote my master thesis about factor graphs and a possible application of it: analog block decoding. Check out some online JAVA-simulations! I also recommend a series of photos from beautiful Taiwan: Impressions of Taiwan. Enjoy these impressions into a culture that combines east with west, tradition with modern time...! If you are interested in beautiful holidays at the Atlantic Ocean in France, have a look at the following very attractive offer! By the way, you are visitor No. 78636 since September 1998. Thanks for your visit!
